No. Only Chicago that I know of
I don’t understand how there isn’t just a constant line around the block for this place. It was amazing! I happened to come in on Taco Tuesday. They offer one meat and one veggie type each week. I had the mushroom taco and for $2 it was a STEAL: so fresh, and earthy. The bacon jam was slightly sweet, and more subtle in flavor than I expected. It paired perfectly with the ricotta. That combination on the smoky toasted ciabatta was the perfect appetizer with wine. My favorite was the octopus: it was SO tender. The charred romaine, citrus dressing and fresh corn that came with it just took the dish over the top.The staff couldn’t be any nicer, honestly.I want to say it’s my favorite restaurant in the city, but I’ve only been here once. I guess I’ll just have to return 🤷🏻♀️
Great small dishes for sharing! Everything was fantastic but strongly recommend the cabbage, Brussels and octopus!
The homemade bacon jam is so very flavorful served with warm crostini. Service was top notch! Highly recommended!!!
Excellent service and food. Small place based so be sure to buy a variety of things and see what you like best. The risotto was our favorite
Simple delicious dishes, prepared with fresh ingredients
Great food, great wine and amazing service!! Everything we had was tasty! My favorite was probably the suckling pig!! Amazing and melts in your mouth! We also enjoyed the s'mores dessert... You won't regret stopping in!
The ambiance, the service.... perfect . My party of 4 shared 8 plates and everything was absolutely delicious. I recommend the duck egg pasta with crispy duck skins, and definitely try the bread with browned butter. TWO is a cozy, upscale setting but never felt snobbish. Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable. Looking forward to the summer menu!
Excellent all around. From the food to the service to the atmosphere, everything was truly a pleasure. The plates are decent sized, but the food is meant for sharing. You should order several items for the table and your server will be glad to guide you through how much you'll need. The hangar steak is excellent, but comes seared with a very, very pink center. If this is an issue let them know ahead of time. Cavatelli is amazing, as was the grilled calamari. Cheesecake for dessert was flavorful and creamy, as it should be. The wines by the glass are a bit pricey, but many of the bottles are a bargain in the restaurant world. Rather than drink low end glasses for $11 each, just get a nice bottle for $45. You'll be happy you did. Overall a great experience. I'm sad I didn't find it years ago!
The food and service was amazing. The cost is very very good. We were a party of 8, so we tasted a lot of dishes. Every single one of them was exceptional.
ONE OF MY FAVORITE GEMS! Service is extraordinary and the menu is ever-changing but always impresses
Fantastic meal with plenty of variety. Waitress was excellent explained from the beginning what was included in the tasting menu and then described each dish when she brought it out. Replaced place settings with each course and kept glasses full without us having to ask. Hostess/Sommelier was extremely helpful in finding a wine for us. Food is prepared for each course so don't order chef tasting if in a hurry. Another table ordered a Cheeseburger that looked great and was served quickly. Restaurant was peaceful and quiet which is just what we wanted for our date night. It was good to be able to have a conversation.
This review is only for the burgers (which are half price on Thursday’s), not any other dish. I have come here regularly for the past 3 years and brought countless friends along because they made some of the best burgers in town. This is no longer the case and the last 2 times have been disappointing, with the burgers being underwhelming in taste and the fries terrible as well ( today they seemed like they were re-fried, dark brown and very oily). It is better to say you’re out of fries than serve what you served and it is better to charge full price and serve quality than half price for animal-grade french fries.
Great food, super ambiance. Neighborhood parking can be a challenge. Mussels were a highlight.
Yummy food and the bartender was a sweetheart. I recommend sitting at the bar. Great customer service.
Recommendations didn't blow us away. Food sits pretty heavy and flavors weren't very exciting. Big takeaway: less is more. On a dinner for two, would recommend one appetizer and two entres (with the intention of sharing) + drinks
Great culinary experience and fun spot overall. Very friendly staff. The drinks menu, though not broad, is inventive, and the food is great. Try the duck fettuccini for sure. There were some logistical issues the night we were there, and our wait was a bit on the long side. Without being prompted, the restaurant very courteously addressed this and it made us really appreciate the place all the more.
Went there on a whim, so glad I did. It was excellent, creative, but not unusual with very different and complex flavors.
Loved our experience at the bar with Graham and Shawn. Great food, great service et great dinner. Will be coming back !
Creative locally sourced ever changing menu. The owners were attentive to our needs from breaking down the menu to finding a parking spot. The drinks were tasty and the burger was bananas! It was a little on the pricey side but even our kids got the royal treatment. I'd dine here again.
Some of the best food I've had in chicago. I ordered 3 plates that came out to under 80 dollars. First we got the prawns. The prawns were so good I was thinking about them the next day. Next we got the duck fettuccini and it was very good and very rich. Lastly we got the steak and that was awesome as well. My favorite dish was a tie between all three. My date liked the prawns the most.Overall this was a great experience. It was the second time I went and both times every dish was amazing and completely worth it.
I've passed by this place for years, as it sits quietly on Grand Ave in West Town just between River North and Ukrainian Village. You've probably done the same....so next time...do yourself a favor and stop for dinner. The food and drinks are superb.
Surprises don’t happen that often to me when go to the new restaurants but this one does. Everything in the food menu meant to be shared, portion sizes perfect for two and run by courses. Menu probably change every season too. Food come out looking or tasting anything like I imagined, but so tasty. There are perfectly salty, spicy and not too much of anything.Cocktails here are good too. There are simple but well balance of alcohol and mix. Services are excellent as well. I ordered four dishes and still have room for excellent cheese cake and port wine for dessert.
Recently dined here for the first time after passing it for years and wondering what the menu was like. Let me tell you...the menu at Two is unique in that you won’t find similar dishes anywhere else but you will also want to order every item. The service is intimate and thoughtful; the wine list reflects the same. Order the duck fettuccine dish!!!
Definitely in my top 5 favorite restaurants in the world. The food is incredible but what really makes this place is the service. The neighborhood feel and the friendliness of the staff is something you dont see these days. LOVE LOVE LOVE.Also, HIGHLY recommend the cheesecake. Simply delicious.
First, I appreciated the fact that they sat us w/o having a reservation. The staff was very welcoming. Nice seating but the lighting was really dim, which made it difficult for my date to see the menu. Like the concept of ppl sharing their plates w/each other to creating a spirit of sharing; hence, the name of the restaurant...."TWO" We had a Salmon and Hanger Steak plate. The Salmon was just okay but the Steak was one of the best tasting from a restaurant!
Absolutely incredible dining experience. Came by for Restaurant Week, every single course was 10/10. I would absolutely love to come back.
Excellent meal and service! Came here for restaurant week and got to try so many dishes. There was street parking available and easy to Uber. Very clean and beautiful space. Will be back!
Best place we ate at while visiting Chicago. The small plates are delicious. The staff is friendly and lively. The atmosphere was nice and it felt down to earth. Two thumbs way up!
Absolutely loved it here.Small plates/tapas-style dining makes for a unique dining experience and makes it easy to try a little of everything. We ordered the pimento spread, roasted broccoli, seared lamb pesto, confit chicken and duck egg fettuccini. It's tough choosing a stand-out favorite as I'd love to eat all of it again, but that pimento and lamb were mind-blowing.I'm a sucker for a seasonal menu and this one changes often. Really looking forward to coming back soon.Great for a nice night out without being stuffy. Affordable, delightfully creative and delicious food, and wonderful staff.
Delicious, family sharing style new american fare with a ginormous selection of drinks. They have a seasonal menu and all ingredients are sourced fresh from farms. Chicken Roulade and Herbed Ricotta Cavatelli with Grilled Chicken are must-haves if they are on the menu. For the smaller plates, Green Beans with Roasted Peanuts stood out because of the sauce and the the interplay of flavors. Duck Egg Fettuccine, which they claimed to be their signature dish was a little bit of a let-down. Service, ambience, presentation, and vibe were all on point for a comfort, upscale dining experience as you'd expect from a Michelin Bib-gourmand. Would recommend 7-8 shared plates for a party of 5. Standard meals with drinks would fall around the $45 mark per person. Shout-out to Zelle for her service and picks.
Wandered into this place for an early evening drink and quick bite. Sat at the bar and realized it was happy hr. $6.50 per drink/light fare; fried chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries were delicious; Manhattan did not disappoint. Very attentive service. Owner operates the bar, which gives this place a real neighborhood feel. You'll catch me here again soon.
